All over for Twitter?

The Atlantic has a story claiming Twitter's best days are behind it and that the "publishing platform that carried us into the mobile Internet age is receding." Despite Twitter's earnings rising and the platform adding 14 million new users for a total of 255 million, Adrienne LaFrance and Robinson Meyer argue its users are less active than they once were. Twitter says these changes reflect a more streamlined experience, but they have a different theory: Twitter is entering its twilight.

I've always found Twitter to be a great resource for breaking news and searching for obscure mentions of even more obscure topics. And it's a great way of getting news to and from opinion leaders and journalists. But I've rarely used it effectively for larger engagement like I have on other platforms.

What you think?

Whether you agree or disagree with Twitter being in decline, this article is well worth reading.
